Xbox 360 upgrades?

by Michael Yurechko on Mar 14, 2007 at 02:30 AM

Xbox 360 Core System'The German site, Xbox-Archiv, has reason to believe Microsoft will be making a few changes to the Xbox 360 line according to “good sources”. According the sources, the first item on the list of events is the tossing of the Core System, second is a price drop on the premium system (down to 299 Euros, or the price of a Core System), and a new model being pushed into the lineup.

The new model, codenamed Zephyr, will include a 120gb hard drive and HDMI port (as well as the possibility of being painted black). Zephyr is said to cost around 399 euros and is said to be released sometime in May. We think May is a little too early for Microsoft to unveil a large Xbox 360 upgrade, we believe a late 2007/early 2008 release is a lot more probable.

Well whether this rumor will hold up or not will only be determined with time, I can say assured that I will definitely be getting myself a Premium Xbox 360 in the near future, a price drop wouldn’t hurt.

Just Great...the last nail in my…
reasons why i regreat buying one xbox 360 last year:
    1 big noise
    2 big power external supply
    3 overheating
    4 crashing
NOW they tell me my xbox 360 becomes obsolete after just 1 year, at least my original xbox last 3 years
DAMN Microsoft and their politic of selling the same crap 1,2,3 and more times, with little improvements that can be included in the first model, but they need a reason to force you buy the same crap again.
    Im DONE.

Welcome to th world of CE Victor where everything you buy is outdated before you even leave the store with it.

    1. noise...How do you hear it over you Home theater system and or entertainment center?

    2. BIG external pwr supply....Yeah ok..whaever

    3. Overheating...NOT...maybe you should check your ventalation system...mine or my friends have never had issue with this.

    4. Crashing...I have 2 launch system and only one of them have ever froze...and its happend twice.

PS. last time i check MS was in business to make money off of us...If you dont wana by...then dont...but there will be many that will so no worries..

What a dumba$$. Just because they are offering HDMI doesn’t make your current 360 obsolete. Unless your Mommy is willing to fork out the money for and HDMI TV and receiver (for that optical audio feed) why would you care? The differences in video presentation between HDMI and Component are nil. Grow up and stop wining about spending your parent’s money!
