Wii firmware update adds full USB keyboard support

Nintendo has updated the Wii firmware, now at version 3.1 to include full support for USB keyboards. Nintendo has yet to publish a full list of features for the 3.1 update however in addition to the keyboard support you can also expect to find:
- A few updates to the internet browser.
- Hyperlinks can now be sent through messages and links received on the Wii Message Board.
- Clicking on a link will automatically launch the Wii browser.
- An update to the “Everybody Votes” channel.
While the USB keyboard support is a welcome addition, hopefully there will be a wireless version supported in the future. Like my Wii setup, I would suspect that many with larger televisions have their Wii at a distance that is longer than the average keyboard cable.

Ummm try getting a wireless keyboard because that’s what im using.
