Verizon’s BlackBerry Curve 8330 now available
The release had been confirmed for May 9, however Verizon must have been feeling a little generous since they have added the BlackBerry Curve 8330 a few days ahead of schedule.
The Curve is retailing for $219.99, which comes after a $100 online discount, along with a two-year agreement. The Curve was also scheduled to arrive on retail locations as of May 12, no confirmation yet on if Verizon released it in stores early also. Now lets just hope Sprint will finally launch their Curve.

Internally, the original listed launch date for Curve within SN was 4/20/2008. This was subplanted by a 5/7/08 listed date within the “launch calendar”. A separate inventory list shows launch date of 05/09/2008, and at midnight last night all of the relevant documents for supporting the device were added to internal support programs. The device does not show a currently available for internal purchase by employees, but as I said, everything was being loaded into the system last night. The only other two new models considered iminent are the sanyo flip phones with digital Direct Connect. Live working handsets are circulating call centers to aid instruction of support personnel, so it is likely that all three will be pushed to the public site soon. One interesting spec note - the Blackberry models that SN has been getting seem to have an advantage over other carriers, at least in the specs - listed internal memory for the Curve, for example, is listed at 64mb. Verizon for example is listing their Curve as having 32 mb. Side by side comparison of all BB models across all carriers may also show some variations in the models, especially with internal memory and talk time.
