Verizon/LG tries “iPhone inspired” phone

by JG Mason on Oct 31, 2007 at 07:06 PM

Verizon lg voyagerTouchscreen?  Check.  Pretty icon UI? Check.  Four touchscreen buttons at the bottom to aid navigation? Check.  That is where the similarities (and really the comparison) should stop.

Here is what you need to know:

  • No WiFi

  • GPS on board

  • LCD screen inside

  • full QWERTY keyboard, voice commands

  • MicroSD slot with 8GB compatibility

  • EVDO, V-Cast live TV

  • HTML web browsing

My take?  An OK business-use phone.  The shortcut list shows the features are not that robust.  Not a ground breaking phone by any means, but one that should be functional and promises to still make you want an iPhone.
