Update: Don’t expect a Google PC any time soon

GoogleGadgetell previously reported the rumor that Google was going to announce a budget PC at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.  A Google spokesman told the Times Online today,  “We have many PC partners who serve their markets exceedingly well and we see no need to enter that market.  We would rather partner with great companies.”

Larry Page, Google’s co-founder will speak at CES at 4 pm PST on Friday.  Who knows, maybe he will make an announcement about a PC partnership.  The quote doesn’t rule that out… does it?
