Phillips are another company getting behind the 2008 VoIP trend with the launch of a range of attractive looking webcams and VoIP phones.

The SPC1300 and SPC620 webcams let you customize video chats to match your style e.g. you can add a specific feel or mood to any conversation changing the background to give the appearance of chatting from a different location. Winner of a 2008 CEA Innovation award, the SPC1300 flagship model features a real resolution of 1.3-megapixels and costs $99.99.

The SPC620 features an image sensor with built-in interpolation for high-quality video calling and photos with up to 1.3-megapixel resolution and works with all popular instant messaging services straight out of the box. It costs $49.99.

The VoIP251 winner of a 2008 CES Innovations award allows for the addition of a DECT 6.0 cordless Internet phone for Skype calls to a home or office environment and integrates a built-in display so users can view active, online contacts at all times. The device is also compatible with a Mac or PC and will be available in April 2008 for $49.99.
