TomTom’s new GO range revealed

TomTom GO 930

During CeBIT 2008, TomTom officials have announced a new range of TomTom GPS systems. The GO 930 and 730 models have several updates and new features over their predecessors the 920 and 720. They each contain something called ‘IQ Routes’ technology, which finds out the average speed of certain roads, rather than the speed limit, so it can calculate whether the shortest route is actually the quickest, thus saving time and fuel.

The other, intriguing feature to these updated models is the ‘Advanced Lane Guidance’. This tells you which lane you need to be in and the correct exits to come off the highway. Soon enough, you won’t even need to think while driving, of course we here at Gadgetell cannot recommend that.

The 930 and 730 come with a plethora of extra features such as Bluetooth, ‘Voice Address’ technology, ‘TomTom Mapshare’, an FM radio tuner, a 4.3-inch touchscreen and a ‘Help Me!’ function which at the touch of a button connects you to local emergency services for assistance.
