Thomson has made another unique PMP, and this time it comes with the ability to slide open its control panel. When you pull out the slider, it reveals a four-directional pad, some volume controls, home, select, and X, A, B, Y in the form of a gaming controller. The Thomson V888 sports a nice 4-inch screen for all your videos, photos, music, and games. It plays and supports a variety of video formats including MPEG, MP4, DivX, AVI, Xvid, and a few others. As for music it plays MP3, WMA, WAV, and FLAC lossless. However, one problem with this design is that the screen is heavier than the control pad and so it is hard to h old the device up.
The V888 is expected to be sold in China first for 999 Yuan or close to $132. No word on whether this will be coming to the U.S.
