Sprint may not have released an official battle cry, but their new addition, the Any Mobile, Any Time, feature encourages everyone to ditch their landline. The new feature will be added automatically to Sprint Everything and select business plans. Sprint is not charging anything extra for the significant boost in value.
Sprint’s Any Mobile, Any Time works with all carriers, not just Sprint. This is a big step forward for the telecoms and shows us where Sprint believes they can establish a niche: youth. As our society transitions to all-mobile phones, the younger generation has adopted only mobile phones far faster than the older segments of the population. Sprint is aiming to get their attention with this giant freebie.
The change will come for current Sprint users at the beginning of the next billing cycle. Something tells me a bunch of Palm Pre owners and other Sprint denizens are pretty happy right about now.
Kudos to Sprint for adding this to existing contract holders automatically. Usually, super deals like this are reserved for new customers and the current ones get the shaft, but here Sprint does its users a solid. Maybe Sprint isn’t so bad?
