Sony’s TDM-NC1 Wi-Fi audio streamer

by Michael Yurechko on Apr 17, 2007 at 02:02 AM

Sony WiFi Audio StreamerLately Sony seems to be a little obsessed with the task of getting audio onto their Bravia home theater systems. Last was their iPod dock, and now it’s the Digital Media Port Wi-Fi Client. This sexy little audio streamer supports ATRAC, AAC, and WMA files over a wireless or Ethernet connection from your Windows PC. The downside of this is the output, which uses Sony’s proprietary Digital Media Port, only available with a handful of Bravia Systems.

The device will carry a $200 price-tag, which is a tad steep, but there’s definitely no arguing with looks here. Sony is accepting pre-orders now, and should be releasing the unit on June 8th.
