Sony Daily Edition Reader

Looking to complete the Reader family of eBooks, Sony released the new Daily Edition reader with AT&T 3G broadband connectivity, which is definitely helpful since users will be to connect to Sony’s online eBook store from practically anywhere.

In addition, the Daily Edition reader boasts a 7 inch touch screen, allowing for 30-35 lines of text to be displayed on the portrait screen and internal memory with the capacity to contain up to a thousand eBooks, with memory expansion for even more storage space.  With the 3G connectivity, users will not be charged monthly fees for purchasing books and newspapers while on the go.  A revamped eBook store with a library of over a million titles is aimed to help Sony users.  In case you are at home and want to transfer a lot of titles over from websites to your Daily Edition, you also have the ability to transfer via USB.  The Daily Edition is compatible with both PCs and Macs.

In terms of pricing, the Daily Edition reader is set to be available for $400 coming in December.  The Reader Pocket Edition and the Reader Touch Edition (the other two devices that make up the Reader lineup, which were announced earlier this month) are already available for $199, and $299, respectively.
