by Adam Berger on Oct 17, 2006 at 11:30 AM

Sony MyloThe upcoming Sony mylo disappointed some by not going against the Sidekick, by leaving off cellular service in favor of Wi-Fi. Sony has compromised perse. The combat the heavy price tag the company is throwing in twelve months of free hot-spot service at all T-Mobile locations. Ok so it isn’t cellular service, but at least it is the largest US hot-spot provider. The promotion is available for a one-year period starting on the date that a Sony mylo device first connects to the T-Mobile HotSpot service or December 31, 2007, whichever comes first.

Starting in mid-November 2006, mylo communication devices will get online access for no charge at more than 7,000 T-Mobile HotSpot locations including many Starbucks coffeehouses, Borders Books and Music stores, FedEx Kinko’s Office and Print Centers, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Sofitel and Novotel hotels, Red Roof Inn locations, the airline clubs of American, Delta, United and US Airways and select airports

The mylo is available now for about $350.
