Sony Ericsson K850; Phone or camera?
Sony Ericsson has already sold more than 45 million Walkman phones since they launched them in 2005, and with the latest K850, announced just in time for the holiday season they will expect that number to increase.
Available later this month and packing Turbo-3G speed (HSDPA), the K850 not only looks great but packs a whole range of great specifications and features:
- 5 megapixel camera with auto focus
- Xenon flash and Video Light
- Photo Fix to automatically improve light balance
- Select BestPic and take nine pictures in one burst
- Available in Velvet Blue or Luminous Green color
Interestingly while Sony Ericsson has always offered the Cybershot range of phones as ‘good’ camera phones this is the first one that they are pushing as a quality stand alone phone and camera, they claim it would also be a good purchase as a mainstream ‘point and shoot’ digital camera.
“Sony Ericsson is first and foremost about offering the best phone for you, but with the K850 we also give consumers a 100% credible alternative to a digital camera”, says Sven Totté, Head of Imaging Marketing at Sony Ericsson.
