Sony Ericsson’s “digital camera phone” C905 gets official

by Arnold Zafra on Jun 17, 2008 at 10:39 PM

Sony Ericsson C905
The other Sony Ericsson camera phone which created some hype the past couple of days aside from the S302 is the C905. Who wouldn’t get excited with the fact that this camera phone boasts of an 8.1 megapixel camera which in digital camera standard is already in the mid-range class? No wonder, Sony Ericsson is releasing the C905 as the first of its camera phone model in its new Cyber-shot camera phone series.

And like we said in our previous post, the C905 also features some nicely placed camera controls and functionality. Now we know that these include a Xenon camera flash, face detection auto-focus, smart contrast and image stabilizer. All of these are common features of your usual digital cameras.

In addition Sony Ericsson’s official announcement also confirmed other features of this phone which we already told you about including; a 2.4-inch QVGA display, Wi-Fi, built-in GPS, accelerometer, TV-out, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.1, Exchange ActiveSync and support for UMTS and HSDPA. The C905 would also come packed with a 2GB Memory Stick Micro.

This camera phone will be available in Night Black, Ice Silver and Copper Gold sometime in Q4.
