At Sony’s press conference yesterday, the company made no mention of this beauty.  The new DSC-G3 from Sony is what they’re touting as the world’s first WiFi-enabled camera with a built-in web browser.  You’re probably asking yourself one simple questions—why do I need a web browser on my point and shoot digital camera?  Answer: you can instantly upload pictures and video to popular sharing sites such as YouTube, Flickr, Shutterfly, etc. right from your camera.  If that’s not enough, Sony and AT&T have also partnered up to offer complimentary access to Sony’s Easy Upload Home Page via AT&T WiFi hotspots across the country.

The DSC-G3 is a 10 megapixel shooter with 4X optical zoom and face detection.  The camera is now available for $500.
