Sling Media gets $46.6 million in funding

Sling MediaSling Media’s Slingbox is the best device for place-shifting television from our homes to any Internet enabled display. This product has been out on the market for some time now and consumers are ready to take it a step or two beyond. Sling Media, last week, received $46.6 million in funding from Goldman, Sachs & Co., Liberty Media Corporation and Echostar Communications. This major move by Echostar may prove to be a huge advantage for the company. Imagine accessing all On Demand movies or other Dish content at any point in time. This can be a reality if a partnership ensues between the two companies.
