SimulScribe gets out of trouble

by JG Mason on Jan 22, 2008 at 02:45 PM

SimulScribe has had a busy day today.  To start the day off, I name SimulScribe to my short list of CES unsung heroes.

Then comes a press release about a potentially harming lawsuit settlement with Klausner who apparently holds the patent for visual voice messaging, which Simulscribe was infringing on (along with a host of other big names like Apple, AT&T and others).  SimulScribe settled to get out while the others continue the fight.  SimulScribe and SimulSays (a phone-based application) are now licensed in the US, Canada and Europe.

“We are happy to add SimulScribe to our growing list of licensees. SimulScribe’s visual voicemail for mobile phones and computer inboxes is an excellent example of our patented visual voice messaging technology, letting consumers view and select voice messages in a similar fashion to the way they view and select e-mails,” said Judah Klausner, CEO of Klausner Technologies.
