One of your worst fears happens: your house is broken in to and the criminals start to steal your prized possessions. Suddenly, they turn around and make a run for it. Why? They were scared off by the Electronic Watchdog.
The makers of this device give users the chance to scare off burglars without the need to get an actual dog. Buyers place the Electronic Watchdog near the entrances to their home and plug it in into any wall outlet. When turned on, the gadget detects movement and makes a barking sound. It even has the ability to scan through doors, windows and walls to detect trespassers.
As the figure approaches, the barking becomes louder and more urgent. Unlike many other devices, the barking sounds very realistic and varies like a real dog. The device is intended to scare off intruders as well as warn homeowners to an unknown presence. For times that you don’t want to use the Electronic Watchdog as an anti-theft device, you can adjust the setting to make a chime or rainfall sound. This can be a pleasant greeting to daytime visitors.
On the downside, it may not be completely reliable. Many criminals stake out a place before committing a burglary and will probably suspect that it’s not a real watchdog. You’ll also have to consider buying more than one Electronic Watchdog in order to secure all entrances of you home. It’s pricey, new models cost about a hundred bucks and up. One of the lowest online prices can be found at AAA Safety First.
