Can’t get enough of the slotRadio, the microSD music player that even has an AM/FM tuner?  We got to play around with the slotRadio and find out what SanDisk thinks about the device.  The SanDisk rep preferred to think of it as you get 1000 songs for $100 and a player for free.  That’s actually not a crazy statement.  Where else can you get that kind of deal?

While most of us think that the slotRadio makes no sense, at least SanDisk knows this.  SanDisk said that they were going after the non-technical types and those who don’t have the time to keep an Internet radio or mp3 player up to date.  “Geeks hate this product,” said the SanDisk representative.  “It’s not for them.”  He’s right about that.

Regardless about your opinion of the slotRadio idea, let’s get to the product.  The slotRadio is a very simple device with a few buttons.  The arrow keys flanking the screen are actual buttons that have to be depressed.  There is a skip button on the side, volume controls on the other side, and a clip on the back.  The screen gets the information across, but the fonts could have been a bit larger.  It’s a sturdy little player that you wouldn’t be afraid of dropping.  Take a look for yourself.
