A new model has been added to Samsung’s premium Soul series, featuring a 5-megapixel camera with auto face detection, image stabilizer, and Dynamic Range capabilities (WDR). Dubbed the Samsung G400 Soul, it will be a follow-up handset to the original Samsung Soul phone, the U900 Soul. This new device will bear a fully interactive 2.22-inch touchscreen display on top of the flip mechanism, from which users will be able to operate the built-in FM radio, music player, camera, and photo album. This same external screen will also display a bunch of other things while in idle mode such as animated wallpapers, call or SMS notifications, upcoming calendar appointments, and a digital or analog clock. Not surprisingly, the Samsung G400 Soul clamshell phone will come with the same user interface as the old U900 Soul, which is fully customizable depending on the user’s interest. With dazzling new stylish clamshells like these, it’s no wonder Motorola wasn’t that successful with the RAZR2.
