Review: Laptop bags for the cool; Crumpler Part and Parcel
Get the feeling you look like a tool while lugging around the corporate laptop? You are not alone. Check out the Crumpler Part and Parcel. Designed to protect your laptop -up to a 15.4” wide- in a padded internal sewn-in pouch while providing lots of room for all the things you accumulate on a trip.
Take this trip to Florida I took last week. The Part and Parcel held all my gadgets securely, even through my mid-flight pawing through ,as its gadget compartement is padded as well. It stretches big enough to swallow the terminal gifts I picked up on my way home but doesn’t feel like I am hauling around the kitchen sink (oddly enough, another model Crumpler makes, the “kitchen sink”).
Crumpler adds in some nice touches, like the messenger brace strap system that keeps that bag in place, not slinging around while commuting by bike or horse. Lots of nice storage pockets, some zippered to keep your gear organized and safe in the event of moderate turbulence. Plus it comes in some colors that will set you apart from everyone else up on the 16th floor.
Many messenger bags look better on the street than the office, but this one -and it’s two siblings: the Horseman and Cashmere Blazer, is nice enough to not make you feel like the true slacker you are.

I recently got this bag in blue and have been using it over my Booq computer bag. I like the Booq but I feel much more cool and less corporate with the Crumpler. I also picked up a crumpler camera case for my SD200 - it’s very tiny and very cool as well in green.
