Remotely lock up your home thanks to Black and Decker

Black and Decker logoFor years, I’ve wondered why I can unlock my car door with a remote, but couldn’t do the same with my house.  Black and Decker is looking to bring wireless remotes to door locks for residential use in 2009.

Also, it appears as if the locks will work from far away.  Will it work through the Internet like certain Schlage locks?  We’ll see.  There is no information on when exactly Black and Decker plans to formally launch these devices, but I’m looking forward to it.
