Pioneer Electronics introduced the AVH-P7800DVD, the first in-vehicle entertainment product to handle a wide variety of high-resolution audio technologies and high quality video in a one-box solution. The system combines a 7-inch high-resolution screen with touch control capability, DVD Audio, DivX video and compressed audio playback, as well as attachment capabilities to Bluetooth enabled cell phones, iPod players and satellite radio.
The AVH-P7800DVD is a superior DVD Audio player capable of providing 96k/24-bit 5.1-channel high-resolution sound. Discs with DTS and Dolby Digital encoding including DTS-ES, DTS-NEO6 and Dolby EX are clearly reproduced, sending signals to discrete channels. A 13-band graphic equalizer, 3-band parametric equalizer, multi-channel auto equalizer and auto time alignment provide key adjustments, tailoring the sound to the listener’s exact parameters.
The large 7-inch TFT display provides picture quality to accommodate DVD video, wide VGA (800 X 480 pixels) and QVGA. Unlike other in-car video products, the AVH-P7800DVD monitor receives video information directly from the DVD mechanism as component video creating the highest resolution currently available in a car.
Commonly used portable technologies, such as iPod players and Bluetooth cellular phones, can be controlled directly from the AVH-P7800DVD touch screen display. Optional attachments for XM Satellite Radio, Sirius Satellite Radio, iPod players, Bluetooth devices, vehicle dynamics, TV tuner and navigation are available to create the ultimate audio, video and information system.
The AVH-P7800DVD will be available in June 2006 for a retail price of $2200.
