Pinnacle announces PCTV Nano digital USB TV tuner
Pinnacle has introduced the new PCTV Nano Stick, a digital USB TV tuner. Currently being released in Europe it has “ultra-sensitive DVB-T reception technology,” which should allow the user to pick up even the weakest TV signal. The PCTV Nano Stick comes with a remote control and the Pinnacle TV Center Pro software which allows users to record, pause or rewind live TV. The signal can be recorded in MPEG1, MPEG2 or DivX formats and can be saved on the users hard drive or recorded directly to a DVD. With only a mention of Windows Media Center compatibility we suspect that it is just Windows only. The PCTV Nano Stick is currently available and retails for £39.99 (around $78).

I installed the Pinnacle TVCenter Pro and it SUCKS!! It isn’t mentioned on the box but Widows Media Center requires extra drivers and the Pinnacle software is difficult to install. After I got it to work, the stick failed after watching TV twice. Pinnacle: NEVER AGAIN!!!

Looks great, small and has big claims, but if it wont work what’s the point
pinnacle sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bought the nano, not even any support for the 73e. The software updates don’t support the stick and the tvcenter software that comes with it causes BSOD’s in vista 32 SP1. What a waste of space and resources!!!!!!!!!
