by Colbert Low Boon Leng on Aug 3, 2007 at 02:04 AM

Panasonic HDC-SD7Panasonic has announced its new world’s smallest and lightest camcorder – HDC-SD7. The HDC-SD7 only weighs 290 grams and measures at 52mm x 110mm x 87mm. The HDC-SD7 has 10x optical zoom and can record videos at 1,920 x 1,080 in the highest quality setting to SDHC cards. The rest of the specs for HDC-SD7 are similar to the Panasonic HDC-SD5. However, it looks like the new camcorder is only available for Japan for now in September at a retail price of about $1,188. It has yet to be announced for the U.S. market.

Editors Note: The previously announced HG10 from Canon is the World’s smallest HARD DRIVE-based camcorder.  The HDC-SD7 is SDHC card-based.
