“In the past 10 days, we’ve experienced an outpouring of support from the public that is truly gratifying and encouraging,” said Nicholas Negroponte, founder and chairman of One Laptop per Child.

Up until now the program has been averaging $2 million dollars in donations per day. The individual purchases will remain at $399 where you will get on laptop for yourself and have one sent to a child in need, the education purchases will be available in quantities of 100-999 for $299 each, 1000-9999 for $249 each and 10,000 or more for $199 each.
