Olevia intro’s “affordable” 65-inch HDTV

by Robert Nelson on Oct 15, 2007 at 09:43 PM

Olevia 265TFHD 65-inch HDTV

Of course we use the word affordable very loosely, because at $6,999 it is still more expensive than many would spend for a television but it is affordable when referring to the usual price of a 65-inch LCD HDTV. The Olevia 265TFHD is a full-HD 1080p at 65-inches. Overall this has some great specs and would be worth a second look, the 265TFHD has a variety of inputs to include 2 HDMI, 2 Component, 2 S-Video, 2 Composite and 1 VGA, a 1920 x 1080 resolution, Olevia Big Picture Technology and is firmware upgradeable via USB.

“With our new state-of-the-art Olevia™ 65” HDTV we are delivering premium performance to the mainstream consumer,” said James Li, President and Chief Executive Officer, Syntax-Brillian. “We are proud to expand our line of full-HD Olevia™ HDTVs, and we are especially pleased to introduce this single product, our 65” LCD HDTV, to Costco for the holiday shopper, thereby offering the Olevia™ brand to a consumer who may not yet have had the chance to purchase Olevia products.”

The Olevia 265TFHD is currently available at Costco and will soon be in Target. While this seems like a great model for the price I would want to wait for a real world review or two before I would make a purchase.
