Now an annual tradition: Go Daddy’s SuperBowl ads

by Sue Walsh on Jan 23, 2009 at 10:09 AM

GoDaddy GoDaddy.com’s Super Bowl ads have a long standing tradition of being bashed by critics, rejected by network censors, and loved by viewers and customers.  This year promises to be no exception, but there’s a twist.  The FCC has approved two ads, so the popular domain name registar is asking fans and customers to vote for their favorite.  The winning ad will air during the Super Bowl and a “hot” uncensored version will be made available on the company’s website.

Both ads feature Indy driver and “GoDaddy Girl” Danica Patrick.  The current front runner, “Shower” features Patrick taking a shower with another woman while their movements are controlled via computer by three college students.  The second ad, called “Baseball” spoofs the Major League Baseball steroid scandal and subsequent hearings and features Patrick and several other woman being asked if they’ve “enhanced” a certain part of their anatomy.  Although it was approved by the FCC, one un-named network has already refused to air it.

Viewers can vote for their favorite ad on GoDaddy.com and return to the site on Super Bowl Sunday to see the uncensored version of the winning ad.  Voting closes tonight at midnight, so hurry!

Their Super Bowl adds definitely do get racy don’t they and get a lot of attention too even if every network wont air it. They sure do make an impact, lol.
