Looking at the recent announcements from Nokia it looks like they are set to take the fight to Apple in 2008 on at least two fronts.
In terms of handsets they have announced an iPhone look-a-like interface, with touch sensitive screens, landscape screens - basically an iPhone with a Nokia brand it seems.
They also seem to be up for a fight in the on line music space with the announcement of a deal with Universal to provide their whole catalog, including U2 and the Rolling Stones, to certain handsets for a whole year - free! Known as “Comes with Music” it should be available from Q3 2008.
Overall the main message regards the new strategy is that everything is going to be focussed on internet based services like games and music downloads, so expect to see “full Internet capability” on all Nokia handsets in the future.
