Nokia’s Comes With Music, more details emerge

More details have emerged on Nokia’s upcoming Comes With Music service. Expected to be available in mid-2008 the service initially sounded to good to be true, which we later found out was the case thanks to the PlaysForSure DRM.
The audio will be in a WMA DRM wrapper and limit songs to be played on your device or the computer that the device and your account is registered with. You will have the option to burn tracks to a CD, but for an additional cost, which as of this time has not been announced.
Music tracks will be offered at 192kbps for newer tracks while some older tracks will be at 128kbps and can be downloaded to your device or your computer using your PIN.
With some time before this service will launch, there is still some time to make some ‘improvements’ and possibly have that dreaded DRM removed. I would not really expect that to happen, but its still nice to dream. Nokia still has not announced any devices that will be compatible with the Comes With Music service.
