Nokia has announced the new 5220 and 5320 XpressMusic phones offering affordable music and entertainment experiences for loyal Nokia fans. Both handsets works with the recently launched Nokia Music Store where users can easily download music tracks.
The first of these two phones being the higher-end model is the 3G capable 5320 handset. This Nokia 5320 boasts of a voice-controlled say and play feature which is a voice-activated command for playing music. Aside from this, the Nokia 5320 also has a dedicated key for the XpressMusic menu, a 3.5 mm audio jack, up to 24-hours of audio playback time, Hi-Fi sound, memory card slot for storage expansion, USB 2.0 for transferring music and HSDPA for data access. Accentuating its HSDPA feature are some quick access keys for various Nokia web mobile products and services, that includes the Ovi portal, Nokia mobile search engine and the N-Gage for downloading mobile games.
The Nokia 5220 on the other hand is a toned down version of the 5320 with similar XpressMusic features such as quick access keys, 3.5 mm audio jack and 24 hours of playback time. The 5220’s unique feature is not so much on the phone but rather the inclusion of a built-in larnyard that makes carrying the phone easier.
The Nokia 5220 and 5320 will be available in the third quarter of 2008 in Europe with retail prices of around $253 and $348 respectively.
