Nokia 5300 XpressMusic heads for T-Mobile
At 3GSM yesterday, T-Mobile announced it will be the U.S. carrier for the new Nokia 5300 XpressMusic phone. The 5300 is a GSM/GPRS/EDGE slider phone with a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, a 1 GB SD card slot, and of course a 2.5 millimeter headset jack with an adapter for headphones. What would a music phone be without music downloads? Nokia has teamed up with Yahoo Music for the XpressMusic phone downloads, and T-Mobile is offering three free downloads at sign-up.
The device previously sold at around $300 for an unlocked overseas version, but now T-Mobile plans to sell it for just $99 with a two year contract.
