No computer needed, ajaxWindows gives you a Virtual PC
This could be big. This could be the way of the future. This of course is what Microsoft may have feared years ago that Netscape might become. You may not need to lug a computer around with you anymore.
Michael Robertson has announced a new AJAX tool called ajaxWindows, a full virtual PC that is run from a web browser over any computer connected to the internet. ajaxWindows will allow you to sync data such as documents, bookmarks, contacts, wallpaper, and even your music from your desktop computer which means that this will be a good virtual PC or a fantastic backup tool.
The uploaded files will be stored in “popular online services” such as MP3tunes and Gmail. The desktop is fully functional and customizable and also allows you to set preferences such as homepage, webmail and search engine. You can drag icons around, navigate through folders, customize your menus, and of course launch applications. ajaxWindows will run best on Firefox but can also be accessed with Internet Explorer with the ActiveX plugin.
This will be something to watch (and take advantage of now!).

Palm Pre Information & Updates
Palm just introduced their next-gen smartphone, the Palm Pre, and next-gen operating system, Palm webOS. Gadgetell's got the latest Pre and webOS information and news for you right here.

This sounds really interesting. I’m sure this is the future. Who wants to carry a bulky laptop around with them wherever they go!!! Sure the apps are not full fledged and there a number of bugs to fix, but overall its a great attempt. I’ll be looking forward to their future releases.
