Nintendo World New York taking preorders for the Wii
If you’re not down with swooping up a Nintendo Wii over the web here, you can now head into the new flagship store Nintendo World NYC and preorder today! The preorder, just like F.Y.E. will require you to put $50 down (which we’re assuming goes towards the purchase price of $249). It looks like they’ve only got 100-300 units available for preorder, so if you want one, head into the store ASAP (NOTE: Preorders cannot be made over the phone). If you don’t live in NYC, have no fear because Nintendo isn’t expecting any shortages (like Microsoft with the Xbox 360), so heading into your local Best Buy, Wal-Mart or Target should do the trick.
The Wii is set to release on November 19th in the U.S. and December 8 in Europe.

I am not in the US at the moment but have friends there that can go and buy me the wii I want for my son’s birthday, but don’t want to make people travel to NYC in vane. Are there Nintendo Wii available at your store always? HOw much? what’s the best time-less crowded?

Are there allot of people in line in the morning there at NYC Nintendo World to get a Wii? I’m from PA and want to travel there and be there by 6:30am or 7 prior to opening but not sure if there will be a line and how many Wii’s they get daily. Any help would be great.
