New video surfaces showing Windows 7 in action

by Robert Nelson on Jan 26, 2008 at 05:31 PM

Microsoft Windows Logo

While there has not been confirmation for this video, it seems to be the real deal. That would make it the first video to surface showing the next generation of Microsoft’s Windows operating system, which at this time is going by the codename of 7.

The video is showing version 6.1 build 6519, check it out below and judge for yourself.

  • Seems pretty straightforward to me… just Vista with what new, exactly? I was squinting and trying to find something new to get really excited about but if there was, I missed it in the slowness of the video. Just some random new skinning of things? What’s the new functionality?

Looks like a Vista install Modified Bitmaps to reflect 7 and Looks Like SP1. Looks like a hoax to me!

    <sarcasm>Yeah, that looks real.</sarcasm>

Yep, looks strikingly similar to Vista.  But who knows.. maybe Microsoft is planning a new operating system that doesn’t have many new features… I wouldn’t put it past them… again!
