Last year Samsung introduced their Touch Of Color designs and will expand on them this year with the Samsung Luxia LED TV. This is the ‘slimmest’ tv with a built in tuner from 40”-55”. This TV will also have a consistent UI menu interface (ala Sony XMB), but looks to be more in a Apple fashion (you move right as you select items).

The UI for this seems very seamless, I’m just wondering how much this is actually needed. There are a million channels online to get weather, scores, and stocks as well as your phone or computer that is likely in your pocket or on your lap—why is this needed on your TV.

1. Content Library Flash - for games, pictures, recipes
2. Samsung Internet@TV with Yahoo integration (photos, news, weather, stocks…).
—> Yahoo Cinematic Internet is their goal to get content onto TV. They are working with many others to introduce TV widgets onto your tv.
—> This is being driven by the Yahoo Widget Engine, built on a open framework Konfabulator
