NEC Lavie C Notebook

NEC Japan has added two new models to its Lavie notebook line, the Lavie C and Lavie J. Both notebooks boast of powerful features topped by a Blu-ray disc player for the Lavie C and a wireless USB-power supply for the Lavie J.

In addition, the NEC Lavie C also features a 16-inch wide LCD screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768. Users can have a choice of packing in their Lavie C notebook with a Centrino 2 processor including the 2.26GHz P8400 chipset. The Lavie C also gets a GeForce 9600 GS with 256MB of VRAM, 2GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n and two 2.5w speakers with MaxxAudio functions.

On the other hand we also have the LaVie J notebook which aside from boasting of a USB power supply also features a 160GB hard drive, 2GB of RAM and a U7600. Both Lavie C and Lavie J notebooks comply with current environmental standards during their manufacturing process.

As these two notebooks were announced in Japan, no word yet as to whether they will released internationally. Pricing information as well as release dates in Japan are still unknown as well.
