Motorola A1600 MING to come with Wi-Fi, GPS

by David Gonzales on Mar 31, 2008 at 04:00 PM

Motorola A1600 MING

Seemingly official product shots of the still unannounced Motorola A1600 MING have surfaced courtesy of some reliable sources from China. The Motorola A1600 MING is a new addition to Motorola’s not-so-popular MING smart phone lineup, which according to the product page, is the only thing you need. The A1600 MING will feature a 3-megapixel auto focus camera, Linux-based user interface, full stylus-based touch sensitive screen, GPS and Wi-Fi.

The Motorola A1600 MING will have basically the same form factor as other MING handsets, featuring a 17.5 mm thickness and transparent protective outer cover. This is despite rumors that it will have a supposedly better CPU than the original Moto A1200 MING. Details are sketchy for now, other than what I just mentioned regarding its specs, but expect Motorola to roll out an official press release any time soon.
