Radiohead

Radiohead had released their seventh album “In Rainbows” and consumers are able to download a DRM-free digital version of the album through the band’s official website, www.InRainbows.com. What’s interesting is that consumers are allowed to decide the price they are willing to pay for it. According to comScore’s study, 38% of downloaders are willing to pay while the other 62% downloaded the album for free. Aside from purchasing the digital album, consumers also have the option to purchase the “discbox” collection which includes the CD album, a bonus CD, a vinyl version of the album, a hardcover booklet with lyrics and other materials for $80.
