Mio A502

Mio, a company based in Taiwan, recently introduced a new type of PDA phone. Since they are big on GPS, you can expect this phone to also include GPS capabilities. More on that in a moment. It also features many notable goodies, which you can find below and it is also set to replace the A501, and it is now called the A502.

Here are the most important pieces of information regarding the phone:

  •       Integrated SiRF Star III GPS receiver with QuickFix (A-GPS) technology
  •       TI OMAP 850 processor at 200 MHz
  •       1 GB of ROM and 64 MB of RAM
  •       2.7-inch touch screen with 320×240 pixels (QVGA) resolution and 262K colors
  •       Quad-band 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, GPRS and EDGE
  • Integrated 2-megapixel camera
  •       Bluetooth 2.0 (with A2DP)
  •       SD/MMC extension port
  •       Mini USB 2.0
  •       Removable 1050 mAh lithium-Ion battery which lasts 4 hours using GPS
  •       Windows Mobile 6 Professional
  •       Dimensions : 9.6×6.0×2.1 cm
  •       Weight : 135g
  • Uses MioMap GPS technology

Obviously, it looks to be a very competitive phone in the Taiwanese market, and wherever else it sells. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing or availability yet.
