Migo announces Migo Mobile Desktop 4
![]()
Migo Mobile Desktop 4 is a comprehensive application that synchronizes email, contacts, calendars, files, folders, browser bookmarks and more between computers and a new generation of mobile storage devices.
It is a significant upgrade to the company’s flagship product, MigoSync, which combines an intuitive re-architect interface with Migo’s patented sync technology and the universal data format engine. This new version also adds the ability to sync chat history from Yahoo, Windows and AOL Instant Messenger applications to any computer, offering expanded content synchronization capabilities. As we use more and more devices in different situations - a desktop in the office, a laptop on the go, a handheld device for keeping in touch it is becoming more and more difficult and time consuming to keep all the data and content ‘current’ on all the devices, so anything that takes the pain (and time) away from that has to be good in my book. With its ability to sync directly between PC’s or across a network of PC’s this has relevance for both the office and home environment.
“Our new version goes beyond mobilizing a PC desktop environment to a portable storage device and now enables users to also sync content directly between two or multiple PCs, so that all PC content is kept in sync and accessible whether it’s between multiple PCs on a home network, a laptop and desktop computer or work PCs and home PCs.”
MigoSync is shipped by major OEMs, such as Hewlett-Packard, Kingston, Edgetech and others, and Desktop 4 is a significant improvement upgrade, and is the first in a range of content mobility products that Migo will ship in 2008, so watch this space as they say.
Migo Mobile Desktop 4 will be available in March 2008 for an estimated retail price of $49.99 and requires Windows XP or Vista.

Palm Pre Information & Updates
Palm just introduced their next-gen smartphone, the Palm Pre, and next-gen operating system, Palm webOS. Gadgetell's got the latest Pre and webOS information and news for you right here.

Migo Software are in the process of filing bankruptcy. They are defaulting on payments to vendors (including my company), and are currently illegally using intellectual property on their web site that has not been paid for. I strongly recommend avoiding any products from this crooked Company.
