Microsoft Pink photos leaked online

New photos of the Microsoft Pink phone were leaked and appeared online yesterday on the Gizmodo blog. The design appears similar to the Sidekick with a sliding faceplate covering a full QWERTY keypad. The Pink is expected to have Windows Mobile 7 installed, the new OS that has been yet to be released by Microsoft. Windows Mobile 7 has not been given an official release date and has experienced multiple delays.
The appearance of the Pink is not a complete surprise, especially since Microsoft had acquired the company Danger that was responsible for producing the T-Mobile Sidekick. Some design adjustments have been made with adding keys that are circular and a body with rounded edges.
It is rumored that the phones are being made in conjunction with another manufacturer and will not arrive in stores until sometime in 2010. Sharp has been rumored to be producing the new phone. Microsoft has also inked deals with makers like LG to start offering Windows based mobile devices.
