Anyone anxious to begin testing out the latest version of Windows 7 will not have to wait much longer. During this evenings keynote, it was announced that it will be available for download beginning this Friday. Windows 7 will be available only as a download, and limited to the “first 2.5 million people.”
The beta will be available beginning in English, German, Japanese, Arabic or Hindi and each (except Hindi) language version will be available in both the 32 and 64-bit version. While it is not recommended that everyone download and install this, remember this is still beta and you may experience issues, it is important to point out that the ISO file will need to be burnt to a DVD. Additionally, the beta will expire on August 1, 2009. As for specs, you will need a minimum of a 1GHz processor, 1GB of memory and 16GB of hard drive space with DX9 graphics support.
