Meebo now works with Facebook and MySpace

Meebo adds support for Facebook and MySpace

If you like being hooked into all of your instant messaging services without opening up a hundred IM clients, Meebo is a great alternative.  Meebo is a web application that lets you log in to tons of IM services.

Meebo already supported AIM, GTalk, ICQ, Jabber, MSN, and Yahoo.  Now they’ve added support for Facebook and MySpace.  You can now talk to all you friends everywhere online in one interface without any downloads.

As an aside, I think I log in to one AIM account, two GTalk accounts, a Yahoo account, and Facebook regularly.  It’s too bad there isn’t something like a super-IM thing that could contact you on any IM client.  Maybe something like an IM forwarding service.  Until something like that is developed, an IM client that logs into all your various networks is still the best solution.

If you want a downloadable app, check out Pidgin (for Windows, Linux, or Mac) or Adium (for Mac).  Pidgin does not support Facebook yet, but Adium does.
