Medion adds finger print security to GPS

by Natesh Sood on Dec 6, 2007 at 05:11 AM

Medion GoPal P4425

GPS security is a big issue, many people often get their expensive GPS units stolen. In an effort to combat this, and make only the person who owns the GPS be able to use it, Medion has added finger print scanning. Dubbed the Medion GoPal P4425, it comes with a 4.3-inch touch screen, is pretty thin measuring in at only 17 mm (0.66 inches), and 3D rendering of maps. Additionally, it sports Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, text-to-speech functionality and has a RDS-TMC traffic receiver and FM transmitter. The FM transmitter allows you to listen to the voice recognition over your car speakers.

Finally, there is no word on pricing or availability, but it will only sell in select European countries as of now. Hopefully, it comes Stateside soon.
