This is exactly what I like! Simple and classic design, buttons hidden away with the exception of the power button, and available in Europe before the US! Marantz is bringing classic design and style back to the market with their twin receiver models, the SR7002 and SR8002.

The SR8802 will cost $2,450 and the SR7002 $1,900 and share some pretty impressive specifications:

  • THX-Select2 AV Receiver
  • 7 x 125 Watts of RMS power
  • Dolby digital plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS Hp and 7.1 Multichannel PCM
  • 32-Bit-DSP with THX Surround ex, DD-EX, DTS IT, DTS96/24, CSII and DPL IIx
  • Audio add-on unit for all compressed audio formats such as MP-3, WAV, AAC
  • Room Acoustic Calibration with Audyssey EQ for automatic calibration with microphone
