Lower Cholesterol by drinking this beer

by JG Mason on Jun 2, 2007 at 08:50 PM

cold beerA new light beer from Canada claims that if you drink two a day, your overall cholesterol and LDL cholesterol numbers will drop.  Seriously.

The secret to Heart Start beer lies in two parts: plant sterol and barley beta glucan.  The FDA states that the plant sterol reduces overall and LDL cholesterol numbers.  The beta glucan has been clinically proven to lower cholesterol and increase satiety for weight watching hopefuls, and even yields the ability for humans to fly.  Ok, I made that last one up.

A beer your doctor will ok?  Sounds good to me.
