Today began CES’s massive product introductions.  Up first for Gadgetell is Logitech, who carted out their new CEO, followed by their Product Managers announcing new product. 

Logitech Squeezebox Duet
We’ve all been waiting for manufacturers to figure out a way for us to take advantage of our WiFi networks around the house so we can listen to music.  We thought the answer would come in the form of WiFi speakers.  Logitech says we got the question wrong.  They bring us more on the squeezebox, and it is pretty exciting. Squeezebox controller, wifi based, browse select play control you pc.  From computer to room.  You can add squeezebox receivers to bring music to any room in your home.  Receivers can be added.

MX Revolution
Bluetooth high end desktop, LCD display, song titles, interactive with keys.  Windows Vista compatible.
First desktop with mouse bundled, Logitch Bluetooth MX Revolution.  $169, late feb


Z Cinema
Logitech is the leader in PC audio.  Surround sound system from two speakers using TruSurround HD.  Logitech says it has a broad sweet spot.  USB, 180 watts of total RMS power.  Included is a dedicated remote control, that accesses Windows Media Center.  Some interesting facts: 9% of us connect ourPC to a stereo.  88% of home networks are wireless that will grow to 42 million homes in 2008.

Harmony One
According to Logitech research, 1 in 5 households have a cheat sheet, a list of paper with instructions how to use the tv and remotes.  Color touchscreen is maximized by touch control at screen edges.  One touch favorites, load your channel logos, get to HBO with just one touch.  The remote allows for much customization with changeable colors.  Just 40 buttons.

Logitech desires to become to the interface to digital world and these additions keep that torch burning.
