LG runs out of room, puts dial on KF700 backside

by JG Mason on Feb 12, 2008 at 10:26 AM

LG KF700 LG put a shortcut dial on the backside of their new KF700.  In addition to its swanky touchscreen and slide out number pad, LG says it’s users needed another way to interact with the phone.  The idea is, this phone has so many features, that easy navigation is key.  LG says users don’t want to diddle their time away in complicated menus, so the 3 input options allow users to figure out which method suits them best.

The 3-way is part of the lure for the KF700, a new entry being shown off now in Barcelona.  Destined for various markets as early as next month at undisclosed pricing.

Excerpt from the release:

LG has already established itself as a leader in phones with touch technology, and the LG-KF700’s 3-inch full touchscreen provides easy access to features and its wide aspect ratio makes it perfect for watching movies or browsing the internet. From the phone’s main screen users can flip through several handy widgets, including a calendar, scheduler, and memo pad, with the swipe of a finger. The large touchscreen also means that the phone can provide an adaptable on-screen interface, rather than tying users to a fixed, preset button layout.
