The Everio GZ-HM400 is JVC’s newest HD camcorder. It can shoot 1080p video to a SDHC card or to its internal 32GB of storage using AVCHD compression at 24 Mbps which is very close to HDV quality. What does that mean? You’ll get high quality HD video that will rival HDV without needing tapes. Additionally, JVC says that the Everio GZ-HM400 will also be able to capture 9 megapixel still shots. There is even a slow-motion video setting for up to 600fps. The higher frame rate video will be in a much lower resolution than HD: 600fps will be in 640 x 720, 300fps will be in 480 x 116, and 120fps will be in 480 x 270. The camera comes with optical image stabilization which ought to help you settle your video despite your shaky hand.
